Collaborate in Real-time on Models and Reports​

Decipad now allows you to invite teammates to collaborate on your notebooks by simply entering their email. No prior account is required.

• To invite someone as a collaborator or reader, click the + button near your avatar on the top bar of your notebooks, select a role, and add their emails.
• To find notebooks shared with you, go to your workspace and select Shared with me on the left**.** Alternatively**,** you can also click the link we send to your email.

Create Formulas Everyone Understands​

We’ve introduced a new block to clearly define inputs and formulas, making it easier for you and your team to understand the context when exploring calculations.

• To add this new block to your notebook, simply type =. Alternatively, type / or click the + button to open the block menu and search for Number Input or Formula.
• The original Decipad calculation blocks are still there, so existing notebooks won’t be affected. You can find these original blocks on the menu under their new name: Advanced Formulas.

Better Inspection for Inline Results​

We have enhanced the inspector for inline results, allowing you to explore the formulas behind the numbers, make quick edits, and update their name.

Fixes and Improvements​

• Added several formulas for finance. compound(), futurevalue(), netpresentvalue() and paymentamounts(), to help you explore compounding and interest use cases.
• You can now export backups for your notebooks from the workspace menu.
• Notebooks imported to a workspace are now added to the top of the list instead of the bottom.
• Table placeholders have been updated to say Columns instead of Properties.
• The Decipad Language now supports the latest metric prefixes introduced in 2022.
• Improved scientific notation for small and big numbers, with better-looking exponents.
• The inline + button has been improved to avoid misc licks and add the correct blocks in the right context.
• Any calculation using a column won’t break when you update their name.
• Fixed an issue that prevented users from dragging inline results to bulleted lists.

New Features​

We’ve introduced a catalog that showcases all numbers you’ve defined in your notebook, making them accessible at a glance. This will help you:

• See all numbers you have defined in one place
• Quickly drag them from the catalog into your calculations or text
• Navigate your notebook by sections

We have a new dropdown widget that lets you create lists of values anyone can pick from. This widget is great for calculations where you don’t want to input new values, but instead, pick from a list.

Fixes and Improvements​

• We’ve updated Decipad’s font to make numbers standout
• Formulas on tables can be hidden
• You now have the option to use for instead of * when making multiplications. For example, before $400 per month * 1 year now $400 per month for 1 year
• You can now control the number of rows with a variable on language tables
• We’ve added currency support for the Ukrainian hryvnia 🇺🇦. Example 400 UAH
• When you create calculations with dates, these will keep your original units. (Calculations using days will have a result in days, for example)
• We fixed an issue where images on public notebooks could be deleted by users with read-only access.
• We fixed an issue where tables wouldn’t scroll all the way to the left.

New Features​

Numbers are now automatically detected in text, allowing you to easily turn them into calculations

Updating your calculations just got easier and more flexible
When you rename a variable, it will update everywhere it is used, meaning your calculations will no longer break. The only exception is renaming column names. We’re actively working on this!

We’ve also added 3 new features to the bottom right of your notebook:

• Undo and Redo buttons to revert any steps on your notebook.
• A Status Indicator that lets you know if your changes have been saved.
• A Help Button to contact the team, share feedback, and check our docs.
